The Plano School Coalition (PSC) today announced candidate endorsements for the Plano ISD Board of Trustees. Endorsed candidates include
- Place 1: Tammy Hooker
- Place 2: Carrolyn Moebius
- Place 3: Nancy Humphrey
- Place 6: Yoram Solomon
- Place 7: Missy Bender
Allan Bird, PSC chair and former School Board President, said that the endorsements evolved from an exhaustive and thorough evaluation of the candidates. The analysis focused on four major areas of interest: Academics and Equity, Community Engagement, Knowledge of School Finance, and Understanding of Board Governance.
The evaluation process included a comprehensive review of the responses to a questionnaire; in-depth candidate interviews; review of minutes and videotapes of school board meetings; review of positions posted on candidates’ Websites; and voting records of incumbents. They have undertaken this effort based on their dedication to the continued improvement of the schools and their commitment to the children of Plano ISD.”
Endorsed candidates will receive PSC support through communication to its mailing list and campaign advice. Members of the Coalition may also provide financial support to the candidates.
